Andy Krichman has been involved in owning, building, renting and improving both residential and commercial properties since 1989. As president of Krichco Construction, Andy has led his team to build some of the most beautiful homes in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area, otherwise known as the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina.

Andy Krichman, our president, assists in site selection with highly tuned skills in walking and evaluating land for highest value and use considering all factors and then identifies the site layout for structures and associated infrastructure.

Andy saw a huge opportunity to expand his core business to take on large scale whole house renovations and commercial renovations. He astutely identifies older homes in top quality, esteemed neighborhoods and perfectly renovates and modernizes homes to transform them from the worst in neighborhood to top 10% of neighborhood, which creates extreme value for the homes owners. This has also led to Andy purchasing older apartment buildings in gentrifying neighborhoods that have extreme deferred maintenance and in desperate need of capital. Once purchased Andy expertly breathes new life into them with capital, creative design solutions as well as modern finishes and features easily demanding higher rents and thus profits or resale of the entire property at a substantial profit.
Andy’s passion for life, the outdoors and water sports, including barefoot waterskiing, wake surfing and wakeboarding led him to thoughtfully develop and operate Jibtopia Wake Park beginning in 2011. Andy successfully designed, developed and managed a new concept wake park with ground breaking innovations that set new bars for wake park design and development.
Jibtopia has the rare recognition of being voted one of the top 3 wake parks in the world by Wakeboarding Magazine and voted the “#1 thing to affect the wakeboard industry” in 2013 by Alliance Wake Magazine. Last year customers travelled in from 14 different countries to enjoy the Jibtopia experience. In one recent competition, the top three contestants were from three different continents.
To go along with Jibtopia Wake Park, Andy saw opportunity to purchase a property in 2013 located adjacent to Jibtopia Wake Park. Bar 119, as it is called, is a dynamic 15,000 sq’ entertainment venue hosting live bands and DJ’s with customers regularly traveling over 90 miles to the venue to be entertained. The convenient combination of Jibtopia and Bar 119 creates a multi-functional entertainment venue that plays host to many successful events including music festivals, mud runs, lantern festivals, concerts, competitions, corporate team building events, large parties, and other small- and large-scale events enjoyed by a wide array of individuals.
Property Management
Since 2010, Andy has carried a large portfolio of single and multifamily rental homes and apartments which his team successfully manages.
Andy is the current President of the Bull City Business Leaders Networking Group, the largest of its type in Eastern NC and he is also the past President of the Durham Orange Chatham Home Builders Association where in both organizations he is looked at as a highly respected leader, innovator and mentor. in the construction industry and the business community. Being a certified coach and instructor for barefoot waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and SUP, Andy has coached over 10,000 watersports participants from beginners to professional athletes.
